Default Photoshop CS

So I've had Photoshop CS v8 for about two weeks now, and have dabbled (sp?) around with the program for a while trying to get some grasp on what I can do with it. I want to use the program to not only create cool looking guild emblems and such, but I also need to use it to make pictures to put into my children's story for my Spanish class, as stupid as it sounds.

My main interest right now would be finding out how to take a picture which has a nice background that I want and impose other things, i.e. other pictures, onto the original. I've tried looking it up through the Adobe website, but with no successful results, so any help would be appreciated.

Well I can tell you that in Screenshots, I use only Adobe CS and love the program. I do believe that they have gotten rid of a lot of the lame option and put in some good ones.

I've just gotten the hang of doing Color-Replacement and some of that good stuff, so I was just able to take a Guild Emblem from the Guild Wars website, change the colors around, and voo-la (sp?)!! A new Guild Emblem for us to put on our capes once my guild gets registered in the game.

I made that nice little signature image tonight too, and was even able to get it to link directly to our website (note: this is not a shameless promotion It's just me bragging about what little Photoshop skill I have)...

Anyways, got any tips on cool things to do with Photoshop Genosha? I've got a lot of freetime on my hands right now, and I'd like to fill it with something interesting...

Thanks, I'll be sure to check that out tomorrow. I'd do it now, but it's 11:57 PM and I have to get up at 6:45 tomorrow for school. I would just love to sleep in one of these days and be able to work on the computer with some of these nice new programs I've gotten...

Simple... Open up the image/screenshot you want to use ... then click WINDOW > (make sure check mark next to LAYERS) if not check it. Then with the layers window open, click the button to Create new Layer Lower left corner ... looks like 2 small boxes ... With the NEW layer ON TOP, go to town ... write your words draw a gravestone, or ... open up another photo ... select the entire image and copy it ... and paste the image from other file to this layer ... But start by getting use to take 1 image ... create new layer ... and write text in new layer. Save Optimized as JPEG (if for web ... do not use maximum as file size will grow) ... any other assistance just pm me ...

Stumpy , A.C.E Adobe Photoshop ... and glad to give a interested mind tips
